About the Artwork:

The Abandoned Shack is an original painting inspired by the Mystery Shack from Gravity Falls, reimagined through my Abandoned Collection as a forgotten roadside attraction slowly disappearing back into the forest.

Once a strange little destination filled with mysteries, oddities, souvenirs, questionable attractions, and the people who gave the place its personality... the building now sits empty.

The signs remain...

The forest keeps growing...

But the mystery has become something different.

Through this place, I wanted to imagine what happens to a place built around curiosity after there is nobody left to be curious about it.

Like much of my Abandoned Collection, this painting takes something preserved in our memories and allows time to enter the picture. The familiar becomes weathered. The playful becomes eerie. And a place that once felt alive begins to look like evidence that something happened here a very long time ago.

There is something strangely beautiful about an abandoned roadside attraction. Eventually the stories disappear, the tourists stop coming, and nature begins reclaiming everything we built to make people stop and look.

Maybe the final mystery isn't what happened inside... maybe it's what happened to everyone who used to be there.

I created this series to reconnect with my inner child. It’s nice to take a second to remember the things I loved when I was younger... Nothing lasts forever, so appreciate things before they’re gone! I hope this collection will help you in a similar way.
