About the Artwork:

The Abandoned Space Freighter is an original painting inspired by the iconic Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, reimagined through my Abandoned Collection as a forgotten spaceship left behind long after its final journey.

Once built to travel between worlds, the vessel now sits motionless... weathered, deteriorating, and slowly being reclaimed by the environment surrounding it.

There is something strangely human about imagining an object associated with adventure, movement, and seemingly endless possibility finally reaching a place from which it will never leave again.

Through this piece, I wanted to take something that has lived almost permanently in motion within our collective imagination and allow time to finally catch up with it.

The adventures are over...

The passengers are gone...

The destination no longer matters...

All that remains is the ship.

Like much of my Abandoned Collection, this painting explores nostalgia through decay... taking something many of us remember as larger than life and asking what it might look like after the story has ended.

Because even the things that once carried us somewhere eventually get left behind.

I created this series to reconnect with my inner child. It’s nice to take a second to remember the things I loved when I was younger... Nothing lasts forever, so appreciate things before they’re gone! I hope this collection will help you in a similar way.
