About the Artwork:

The Abandoned Ghost Car is an original painting inspired by the iconic Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, reimagined through my Abandoned Collection as a forgotten emergency vehicle left behind long after its final call.

Once unmistakable... with its flashing lights, strange equipment, sirens, and promise that someone was on their way to confront whatever couldn't be explained... the vehicle now sits in silence.

The equipment remains...

The doors are closed...

But nobody is calling anymore.

Through this piece, I wanted to take something associated with urgency, adventure, humor, and the supernatural an imagine what might remain after the people who gave it purpose were gone.

There is something fitting about turning this particular vehicle into a kind of ghost itself... a recognizable piece of our collective memories still lingering long after its working life has ended.

Like much of my Abandoned Collection, this painting investigates what happens when nostalgia is allowed to deteriorate. The objects remain recognizable, but the worlds that once surrounded them have disappeared.

Sometimes the things we leave behind become ghosts of their own.

I created this series to reconnect with my inner child. It’s nice to take a second to remember the things I loved when I was younger... Nothing lasts forever, so appreciate things before they’re gone! I hope this collection will help you in a similar way.
